National Psoriasis Foundation affiliated support groups are coordinated by and for people who share the common challenge of living with psoriasis and/or psoriatic arthritis. Support groups are an arena of exchange, offering information, education and resources to empower participants.

Therapeutics Clinical Research
Therapeutics Clinical Research is a center of excellence in psoriasis care. For those of you frustrated by your psoriasis, consider giving us a call. If we accept your insurance plan, we can help you obtain the best psoriasis treatment covered by your plan. For those of you with insurance challenges or no insurance at all, we are active participants in research programs for psoriasis that typically provide medications, doctor's visits, lab tests, etc., all without cost to you.

Experimental new drug for psoriasis
The purpose of this research is to evaluate the effectiveness of an investigational oral medication for controlling the signs and symptoms of plaque psoriasis.
Participants must:
Be at least 18 years old
Have been diagnosed with plaque psoriasis for at least 6 months
Be willing and able to comply with scheduled visits, treatment plan and other study procedures
The study medication will be taken daily for 12 weeks. Study medication and medical evaluations will be provided.

Volunteers needed for Psoriasis Study.
If you are aged 18 or older and have moderate to severe psoriasis, you may be eligible to participate in a new research study using Enbrel������®, a drug that has been approved by the FDA that can be administered at home to treat the symptoms of psoriasis.
MedDerm Associates, Inc. in San Diego is participating in the OBSERVE?-5 trial.

We hold meetings first Thursday of every-other month, dates are as follows:
11/6/08- Dr. Bryan Chen, MD will be discussing the common features of psoriatic arthritis and how it is associated with arthritis, stressing early diagnosis and intervention. He will also be reviewing the various treatment options available.

Dr. Doyle Hansen will stop by for an informal talk. Dr. Hansen has one of the busiest psoriasis practices in San Diego, Ca. He is both a Dermatologist and a Dermatopathologist. He trained at Balboa Naval Medical Center and is an Associate Clinical Professor at UCSD.
